STUDENTS’ ASSESSMENT AND
EXAMINATIONS
The school assesses students in the following ways:
Through Internal Examinations
Through External Examinations
Through International Examinations
The school operates the continuous Assessment System. Assessment scores are based on students’ results, subject attendance, practical projects and assignments. These account for 30% of the overall assessment.
Examination is based on what the students have learnt during the term and this accounts for 70% of the overall assessment for each subject.
The school policy states that every student must pass Mathematics, English and other relevant subjects before he/she can be promoted to the next class.
At the end of the Junior Secondary Education, students are presented for the junior secondary certificate examination conducted by both the National Examination Council (NECO) as well as the State Junior Secondary School Examination.
At the end of the senior secondary education, students are presented for the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations conducted by the West African Examination Council (W.A.E.C) and National Examination Council (NECO).
The school prepares and presents students for the under-listed International Examinations:
1. International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE).
2. Scholastic Assessment Test (S.A.T.)
3. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
